Max Hoffman will enter his first year with the Comets during the 2024 cross country and track & field season.
Hoffman comes to Capital after a successful running and coaching tenure at crosstown rival Otterbein University. As a student-athlete with the Cardinals, Hoffman was a two-time All-OAC and All-Region performer in cross country while also qualifying for the national championships twice. On the track, Hoffman was the 2019 OAC 10,000-meter champion.
As a coach at Otterbein, Hoffman was an assistant from 2020 until 2022 while he completed his Master's Degree in Allied Health. While coaching with the Cardinals, he assisted the program to a 16th place finish at the 2021 NCAA Championships in Louisville.
Currently, Hoffman works with New Balance Athletics as a Technical Field Representative. He holds both his Bachelor's (2020) and Master's (2022) degrees from Otterbein University.
