GARLAND AT CAPITAL
Entering his 18th year overall of coaching, Paul Garland will begin his third season as an assistant coach at Capital in 2025. Paul assists with all aspects of the program, and is primarily responsible for leading the team in daily training sessions.
BIOGRAPHY
Paul's coaching experience includes roles at the youth and high school level in addition to college soccer. Garland also coaches at Ohio Premier Soccer Club with the U17 Boys ECNL RL team. Previously, Garland's club stops include the Columbus Crew Player Development and Sporting Columbus, as well as roles with the Upper Arlington High School boys and Johnstown High School girls teams.
Garland holds a National C License from the US Soccer Federation. He resides in Upper Arlington with his wife, Joette. He has two sons, Hunter (27) and Hayden (23), with Hayden having played soccer at Ohio Dominican University. Paul has his BS in Architecture from The Ohio State University and a Master of Architecture degree from Boston Architectural College. He has worked as an architect in Columbus since 1995.
