The midifielder from Louisville, Ky. scored his first career goal in Capital's win against Marietta, a goal that was much needed. Capital scored first in the 10th minute of the contest and Scharfenberger's strike doubled the lead in the 18th minute. Scharfenberger made an incisive run into the box and let a shot rip that was saved but not corralled and then he smashed the rebound into the back of the net. The Pioneers scored later in the game, making Scharfenberger's goal the game-winnign score. The sophomore also has an assist this season.
