Capital Women's Track & Field finished in third place out of 11 teams at Saturday's Pioneer Open and distance runner Mackenzie Meyers was a big reason why. In the 1,000-meter race, Meyers claimed first place with a time of 3:32.25, winning the event by three seconds. In the one mile run, Meyers finished second, four seconds behind the winner, with a time of 5:53.33. The two events gave Meyers 18 points out of Capital's 77 total team points.
