CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Capital University men's soccer team traveled to Mt. St. Joseph University on Tuesday evening where they drew the Lions, 2-2.
The draw brings Capital's record to 3-1-1, while MSJ moves to 3-0-2.
The Comets found themselves behind just before the halftime break as MSJ scored through Aidan Sweeney. That 1-0 deficit allowed the Comets to regroup at the intermission, which proved to be necessary.
To start the second half, Capital carried the upper hand, eventually leveling the match at 1-1 in the 55th minute as a pair of J.T.s combined for a goal.
Jack Thomas scored his first career goal for Capital off a free kick service from
Jackson Terry.
Not long after, the Comets went in front as
Wassim Metatla continued his productive run of play, scoring his third goal of the season on an unassisted strike to the lower right corner.
Despite carrying the upper hand in offensive chances (12-5), the Comets let the lead slip as MSJ scored a tying goal in the 87th minute to level the score at 2-2.

Tonight's match served as the last for Capital over the next nine days as Capital's next game is set for Thursday, September 24th on the road at Ohio Wesleyan. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
