COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University men's soccer team (0-1-3) tallied their third tie of the young season on Saturday, splitting the points with Hanover (1-2-1) after a 1-1 result.
The Comets stormed ahead early, scoring within 82 seconds of kickoff. Once again it was
Devon Hess slotting one past the keeper after receiving a beautiful pass from
Jacob Deever. Unfortunately, the Purple and White would come up short on the rest of their chances in the remaining 88 minutes.
The Panthers managed to pull back even at 1-1 in the 18th minute, but neither team would be able to break the tie from there. With a combined total of 17 shots and only three on target including the two goals, quality chances came at a premium, with neither side able to convert. Finally, after over an hour of scoreless soccer, the game came to a close at 1-1.
