COLUMBUS, Ohio – Six student-athletes from Capital University men's and women's soccer have been recognized by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association with All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio accolades.
For the men,
Jack Kossoudji was named to the first team for both All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio, while
Jack Francisco was selected second team Academic All-Ohio and third team All-Ohio.
On the women's side,
Sophia Leonetti and Graces Estes were tabbed first team Academic All-Ohio. In addition, Leonetti and
Lexi Snider were named first team All-Ohio and
Abby English and
Grace Estes were both selected third team All-Ohio.
This season, Kossoudji was named the OAC Forward of the Year and All-Region after scoring 11 goals to pair with nine assists. This is Kossoudji's second season with an All-Ohio award after he was named to the second team in 2022.
Francisco completed his quartet of All-OAC awards this season after scoring four goals to go with two assists in 2023. This selection marks Francisco's second All-Ohio award after he earned second team honors in 2021.
The two academic All-Ohio awards for Kossoudji and Francisco are their first individually and the first for the program since 2021.
For the women, Leonetti was named the OAC Midfielder of the Year and All-Region after scoring seven goals and handing out four assists from her role in central midfield. This is Leonetti's second consecutive All-Ohio honor.
Snider was named the OAC Forward of the Year and All-Region after scoring 12 goals to go with seven assists. This marks Snider's second straight All-Ohio accolade.
Estes led the team in scoring with 13 goals to pair with four assists. She was named All-OAC second team.
English started 16 of 17 games in the center of defense and was honored with All-OAC first team honors at season's end.
The two academic All-Ohio accolades for Leonetti and Estes mark the first for each of them and the first for Capital since the 2021 season.
