BASEBALL

Capital University Baseball has called Clowson Field 'home' for nearly two decades. The baseball diamond is well-manicured by Capital University and the team. It features:

  • Two full-size dugouts
  • Natural grass infield and outfield
  • Safety netting extended to both dugouts
  • Concession stand
  • Press box with high-quality sound system
  • Stands for approximately 200 people with open hillside for self-serve seating
  • Bullpen and batting cages located by the right field pole
  • Bullpen equipped with turf mounds and throwing lanes down the third base line

Located in Columbus on the corners of Bryden Avenue and Nelson Avenue, Clowson Field is one of two playing surfaces at the complex. The Capital University softball team plays on the softball field located beyond the center field fence. The Bexley High School baseball team also shares the facility with the Comets for its home contests.

SOFTBALL

The Capital University softball team plays all of its home contests at the softball complex of Clowson Field. Bring your lawn chair and a cooler, or take a seat in the bleachers on either base line with fellow fans. Dugouts for each team are located down each base line and a bullpen is located beyond the right-center field fence.

Clowson Field is the also home to the Capital University and Bexley High School baseball teams, which play on the baseball diamond located beyond the softball field's center field fence. The City of Columbus also uses the softball diamond for various youth baseball and softball leagues over the course of the summer after Capital concludes play.
