A four-time letter winner at Capital, Will Weir is returning to his alma mater for his first season as the assistant offensive line coach with Capital Football in 2018. Over four years on the offensive line, Weir played in 39 games and was a key cog in a line that aided some of the most successful rushing attacks in the nation.
As a freshman in 2013, Weir was the starting center for nine games and the team finished with the 20th-ranked rushing offense in Division III. He then started all 10 games at center as a sophomore and the rushing offense improved to rank seventh nationally. He again played all 10 games in 2015 and the ground game was ranked second in the Ohio Athletic Conference. In addition to starting all 10 games on the line as a senior in 2016, Weir served as Capital’s kicker and converted 19-of-22 extra points.
The Zanesville, Ohio native graduated from Zanesville High School in 2013 and was an exercise science major as a student at Capital.
