Finishing the Regular Season on a High Note

WILMINGTON, Ohio– Capital University Women's Cross Country finished its regular season on Friday afternoon at the JennaStrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College. The women's started off the competition with their 5,000-meter race followed by the men. Capital finished 20th out of 33 teams total with a combined time of 1:49:55. 

PERSONAL RECORDS 
Freshman Allison Costanzo led the Crusaders with a time of 20:44.5, placing 87th out of 316 participants. This marks Costanzo's career-best 5k time and the fastest finish for Capital Women's Cross Country this season. 

Freshman Eva Bernhardt finished a minute behind Costanzo for Capital's second-best time of the day. Bernhardt's final time was 21:44.7, which placed her 133rd overall. 21:44.7 was also Bernhardt's fastest 5k time as a Crusader. 

Alexa Daley, Kayleigh Noecker, and Heather Fryman finished 151st, 179th, and 194th respectively. All three earned personal bests for the 2019 season.
