TIFFIN, Ohio – Capital University Women's Cross Country combated the cold and wind on Saturday to compete in the Ohio Athletic Conference hosted by Heidelberg University and finished the 6k-race in eighth place.
Leading the way for Capital with a time of 23:35.7 in 19th place overall was senior Hannah Westhoven (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon).
Junior Mackenzie Meyers (Ashville, Ohio/Teays Valley) finished just a few seconds behind in 25th with a run of 23:53.1.
Coming in third for the Purple and White was junior Larkin Joseph (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) who stopped the clock at 25:34.1 and earned 61st place.
Racehl Rus (Highland Heights, Ohio/Mayfield) and Alaina Miller (Baltimore, Ohio/Liberty Union Thurston) were the next Capital finishes with times of 25:49.6 (68th) and 28:04.6 (102nd), respectively.
Allie Rus (Highland Heights, Ohio/Mayfield) rounded out the group with a time of 29:00.9.
The team will compete in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Championship hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University on Nov. 11.
