Volleyball Downed by Student Princes

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University volleyball team was in action at home against Heidelberg Tuesday night. The Student Princes defeated the Crusaders 25-13, 25-16 and 25-10 in the Capital Center.

Senior Katie Weilbacher (Grove City, Ohio) lead the Crusaders with 10 assists, accounting for over half of the team assists. Sophomore Caitlin McDivitt (Cortland, Ohio) had 11 digs which led the team.

Sophomore Graysan Braun (Springfield, Ohio) and junior Kirsten Nickles (Loudonville, Ohio) led Capital in kills with six and five, respectively.

One the other side of the net, Heidelberg was led by Jamie Kluding and Mariah Sullivan who had nine kills each. 

The loss marks the Crusaders fourth in a row heading into the season finale at home against Baldwin Wallace University. The match on Saturday, Oct. 31 marks Senior Day for Capital and will start at 1 p.m.
