Under McCarron's leadership, men's distance runner Ed Wigton qualified for the USA Outdoor Track and Field Junior Championships with a school-record time in the 1,500-meter run.

A Mansfield, Ohio, native, McCarron competed in both cross country and track & field at Division I Wichita (Kan.) State University from 2006-09. During her career, the Shockers won three Missouri Valley Conference championships in cross country, and took home MVC titles in both indoor and outdoor track & field in 2007.

McCarron’s coaching experience includes one season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Crestview High School cross country team.

McCarron currently works as a brand ambassador for GMR Marketing.
