COLUMBUS, Ohio –  Senior Emily Hilt was named the OAC Female Field Athlete of the Week of the week after her record-setting performance at the All-Ohio Multi Championships on Sunday at Denison University.

The senior had herself a weekend, earning the top spot in the pentathalon, eclipsing her previous record point total of 3,211, with 3,223 points. She was also one of only two athletes in the 12 person field to eclipse the 3,000 point mark.

Hilt started her day with a stellar performance in the 60-meter hurdles, besting her nearest competitor by 0.17 seconds and breaking her own school record by clocking a 9.30 second time.

She earned her second victory of the day, sharing the top spot after clearing 1.64 meters and nearly setting a personal record in the high jump.

Hilt found the podium in the shot put, earning third-place by setting a personal best 9.47-meter throw, and the long jump where she also grabbed third. The senior finished up her day with a fifth-place finish in the 800-meter run to round out the record setting outing.

This is the third OAC weekly honor of her career and the second of the season as she earned OAC Female Track Athlete of the Week in January for her performance at the Ashland Open.
