Women’s Track & Field Earns Top-10 Finish at All-Ohio Championships

DELAWARE. Ohio – Qualifiers from Capital University Women's Track & Field traveled to Ohio Wesleyan University on Saturday to compete in the annual All-Ohio Outdoor Championships. The Crusaders placed 10th out of 20 teams with 27 points.

Taylor Manivanh earned Capital's highest finish of the day with a third-place mark of 11.09 in the triple jump. Manivanh started off with a 10.77-meter mark on her first attempt and then eventually achieved her final distance on her fifth try.

Fresh off of setting a new personal record in the high jump last week, junior Emily Hilt placed fourth in the event on Saturday and was one of three athletes to clear 1.60 meters. Hilt also placed fifth in the 100-meter hurdles, stopping the clock at 15.31 seconds.

In the hammer throw, Kassie Lee placed eighth with a toss of 44.72 meters and her mark of 11.65 meters in the shot put earned her ninth.

Larkin Joseph's time of 2:25.90 in the 800-meter race placed her 20th overall.

The 4x100-meter relay team of Kaylee Prall, Manivanh, Hilt and Joseph completed the event in 51.20 seconds in eighth.

The Crusaders now have just one meet before the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships April 26-27 with the Otterebein University Twilight Invitational on deck on Friday, April 19.
