AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – After claiming the long jump title on Friday at the Rick Meindl Last Call, Capital University Women's Track & Field member Taylor Manivanh has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday.

Manivanh (Grove City, Ohio/Central Crossing) blew past her personal record in the event and claimed victory with a winning jump of 5.52 meters. Not only was the jump a personal best but it was the second-best long jump result in program history.

Friday's win was her first in the long jump this season, although she has placed inside the top-three twice. She has also won the 800-meter race twice and 60-meter dash once this year.

Manivanh and the rest of the Crusaders will look to claim conference titles this upcoming weekend when Capital hosts the OAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The event will begin on Friday, Feb. 23 and conclude on Saturday.
