NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Capital University freshman Emily Hilt completed the final three events of the women's heptathlon on Sunday afternoon, and maintained her hold on third place. Her competition was part of the multi-events that feed into next week's All-Ohio Championships.

Hilt entered the day in third place with 2,182 points through four events. Sunday featured the long jump, javelin throw, and 800-meter run to conclude the multi-events. The freshman kicked off the day with a second-place finish in the long jump where her third and final leap was her best, measuring at 4.84 meters (15-10.50). The mark was also a new personal record.

In the javelin throw, Hilt also placed second overall with her final toss also serving as her best. On her final launch, Hilt measured in at 25.15 meters (82-06). Her performance on Sunday dwarfed her previous personal record, which was 21.29 meters.
