DELAWARE, Ohio – The Capital University women's track and field team sent two athletes to the Marv Frye Invitational, hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University, to compete as individuals.

Sophomore Jordan Lyle (Sunbury, Ohio) and senior Jennifer Long (Hilliard, Ohio/Darby) represented the Crusaders in an attempt to reach conference and national qualifying marks.

Both surpassed the standard to qualify for the OAC Outdoor Championships in their respective events.

Lyle placed second and hit 3.20 meters (10-06) in the women's pole vault. Her personal best is currently 3.50 meters (11-5.75), which ranks her 16th in NCAA Division III.

Long recorded a best of 38.11 meters (125-00) in the hammer throw on Saturday night.

Capital will return to Selby Stadium next week when Ohio Wesleyan hosts the All-Ohio Championships on Saturday, April 11.
