AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced its postseason awards for women's tennis on Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Capital University rising junior Madison Watt earned her second all-conference accolade to represent the Crusaders among the OAC's best.

Madison Watt (Wapakoneta, Ohio/Wapakoneta) was named All-OAC Honorable Mention for the second year in a row following another season in which she led the Crusaders out of the top singles and doubles position.

Watt led the Crusaders in doubles wins (7) and went 3-5 in conference action, all out of the top doubles position. As the Crusaders' top singles option, she went 5-12 overall and 3-5 against conference competition. She was twice named OAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after successful sweeps through her opponents, both times coming in the spring season.

Watt becomes the first women's tennis player to have earned an all-conference nod in back-to-back years since the turn of the millennium.

Capital ended the season with an overall record of 7-11, the most wins since the 2012 campaign and only the second time since 2007 they earned that many wins in a season.
