Capital ends the season with an overall record of 7-11, the most wins since the 2012 campaign and only the second time since 2007 they earned that many wins in a season.

Cap came into the quarterfinals as the six seed in the OAC Tournament and took on the third-seeded Polar Bears. In their previous meeting, ONU had beaten Cap, 8-1, in Columbus.

Madison Watt and MacKenzie Archibald took the court in the top-flight doubles match but lost to ONU's Olivia Schrager and Abigail Staskiewicz, 8-2. Julia Holt and Emma Price fell by the same score in the second doubles flight. CU was forced to default the third court, as well as the sixth singles court.

Needing just one more point to clinch the match, ONU's Katie Curry finished her match in the number five singles bout (6-0, 6-0) in a win over first-year Karen Kanke, thus halting all other matches in progress.
