WILMINGTON, Ohio- Capital Women's Soccer defeated Wilmington College, 3-0, Wednesday evening at Williams Stadium. With the win, the Crusaders improve to 13-5-0 overall, 6-2-0 in the OAC, while the Quakers drop to 8-7-1, 3-5-0 in conference play.
HOFFMANN WITH THE GAME-WINNER
In the 25th minute of play, senior Allyssa Kimbler (London, Ohio) sent a cross ball into the box. Junior Jayde Hoffmann (Liberty Township, Ohio) got a head on the ball, sending it into the lower corner of the net, securing Capital's first goal. This marks Hoffmann's first goal of the season.
MURRY ADDS ANOTHER IN THE SECOND HALF
Less than ten minutes into the second half, sophomore Olivia Rotolo (Dublin, Ohio) sent a cross from the near sideline over to senior Carlee Murry (Hilliard, Ohio). Murry took a shot, firing the ball into the lower corner of the net for the Crusader's second goal of the evening.
FINAL GOAL BELONGS TO HART
Late in the second half, freshman Avery Hart (Pickerington Ohio) added one final goal to the board for the Purple and White. In the 68th minute, Hart took a strike from outside the box and it landed on frame for Capital's third goal of the match.
The Crusaders wrap up their regular season, Saturday, November 2 against Otterbein. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Bernlohr Stadium.
