COLUMBUS, Ohio – It didn't take long for Capital University's women's soccer team to get on the board against the Quakers of Wilmington College. In the 10th minute, Caelyn Reineke (Celina, Ohio) scored the first goal of her career.

Nine minutes later, Capital (5-5 overall, 2-0 OAC) scored again by way of freshman forward Jordan Fike (Powell, Ohio). Senior Becca Cartmill (Temecula, Calif.) has been Capital's top scorer this season as she added her fifth goal in the 19th minute. Wilmington's (5-2-3, 0-1-1) defense continued to struggle to stop Capital's offensive attack as Fike's second goal increased the Crusaders' lead to 4-0.

Carlee Murry (Hilliard, Ohio) concluded the scoring 14 minutes into the second half.

Caroline Hester (Milford, Ohio) paced the Purple and White with four shots as well as recording the match's only assist. Fike led all players with two goals, bringing her total to four on the season.

Hannah Klotzsche (Avon, Ind.) recorded her fifth win this season as the team's goalkeeper after making four saves.

The Crusaders took a total of 17 shots in the first half before finishing with 23 while Wilmington managed to get off 12. Capital also earned seven corner kicks to the Quakers' zero.

Capital returns to action on Saturday, Oct 8 at Ohio Northern University (7-3, 1-1) at 1 p.m.
