AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – While on its spring break trip the Capital University men's and women's golf teams put up marks that helped land two Crusaders conference player of the week honors. Logan Holbrook was named the OAC Male Golfer of the Week and Madison Harsh was named OAC Female Golfer of the Week following their most recent performances on the links.
Senior Logan Holbrook (Logan, Ohio/Logan) was the top performer on the men's golf team and finished inside the top-10 after a successful two rounds at the Faulkner Spring Invitational in Montgomery, Alabama. Holbrook left day one in a tie for second place after shooting even-par (72) and modeled that consistency on day two after shooting a one-over par, 73. He finished tied for sixth place overall (72-74-145) in a field of 52.
For Holbrook, this serves as the third OAC Player of the Week honor achieved this year and the eighth time he has done so in his career.
Sophomore Madison Harsh (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) led the women's golf team by placing 20th out of 38th competitors. She posted round scores of 86 and 88 to total a 174 for the weekend at RTJ Golf Trail at Capitol Hill (par 72, 5831 yards). Her score fed into a sixth-place team finish among a Division II-heavy field.
This is Harsh's first career OAC Player of the Week award.
