AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Capital University senior Katelynn Kinley was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golfer of the Week by the conference office on Monday, September 10, 2018.

Kinley, a native of Sycamore, Ohio, set a new personal low and placed her name among some of Capital's best golfers after 18 holes on Saturday. The senior went into Eagle Rock Golf Club and battled the elements and still turned in an 82 scorecard. Her performance was good for fifth-place among a field of more than 50 competitors and helped Capital finish third overall as a team.

Kinley's 18-hole score places her in the top-15 of the Capital all-time single-round low scores. She now ranks tied for 13th on the Capital leaderboard.

This is the first OAC weekly award of Kinley's career.
