JEROMESVILLE, Ohio – Capital University Women's Golf ended the first round of this weekend's Wooster Spring Invitational in sixth place, led by Katelynn Kinley and her sixth-place performance. Inclement weather has cut short the tournament and those placements will serve as final.

The Crusaders exited Saturday in fifth place out of 12 teams and just three shots out of fourth place, held by rival Otterbein University.

Junior Katelynn Kinley (Sycamore, Ohio/Mohawk) led the Capital lineup and out of the number two spot put forth a single-round score of 83, good for a share of sixth place overall in a field of 73 competitors. Her score also served as a single-round season low by two strokes.

Senior Janie Moller (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) came out and shot an 86, just three strokes back of Kinley, to take a share of 19th overall and feed into Capital's fifth-place team finish.

Senior Katie Lease (90), freshman Madison Harsh (91) and junior Sydney Kelly (92) rounded out the Capital lineup of competitors. All five Crusaders finished in the top half of the individual leaderboard.

Capital will ready itself for the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships which will be held this weekend, April 20-22 at River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette, Ohio.
