Lease Tied for Second After Day One of OAC Championship

WEST LAFEYETTE, Ohio -- Capital University sophomore Katie Lease put together one of her best single rounds of the season to help take a share of second place and help the Crusaders finish day one of the OAC Women's Golf Championship in fourth place.

Lease's first round score of 83 was her best single round of the season, and now puts her in a tie for second place on the individual leaderboard. She shares that spot with Otterbein University's Hannah Meyers.

Capital is currently in fourth place in the team standings with a 357 score card. They are six strokes out of third place, where Ohio Northern University sits, and 20 strokes out of first, held by the University of Mount Union.

Only one shot separates Kristen Sollmann (92), Kaitlyn Kinley (91) and Janie Moller (91) in Capital's lineup.

The women's team will tee off day two during the 11 o'clock hour from River Greens Golf Course.
