Capital University senior Jessica DeBelly of the women's golf team has been selected Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week, the league announced Monday, April 21.

DeBelly, a Sylvania, Ohio, native, carded an 87 to finish first at the team's eight-player dual meet against Muskingum last Thursday at Westchester Golf Course in Canal Winchester. She shot a 39 on the back nine, including a highlight-reel chip-in for birdie on the 17th hole. It was DeBelly's second lowest round of the season.

For the season, DeBelly is second on the team in scoring, averaging 93 strokes per 18-hole round. She is in her fourth year as a starter on the team.

DeBelly and the Crusaders visit Trine (Ind.) University for a one-round tournament this Wednesday before starting the two-day, 36-hole OAC Championship this Saturday at Columbia Hills Country Club in Columbia Station.

Each week, OAC coaches and sports information directors nominate student-athletes for each sport in season for the award.
