COLUMBUS, Ohio -- With poor weather coming through the Northeast Ohio area, the Capital University and John Carroll University softball teams will postpone their conference opener to Sunday, March 23.
Wind, rain and low temperatures have been predicted for Saturday afternoon so the decision was made on Friday afternoon to move Saturday's OAC opening doubleheader against John Carroll to Sunday. Game times will remain 1 and 3 p.m. and be played at Bracken Field.
Capital is coming off of a split with Oberlin College in which they were on both sides of a pair of five-inning contests. Capital broke an eight-game losing streak with its 12-1 victory in game two of Thursday's doubleheader.
