Crusaders Have a Strong Showing at the Cougar Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio- Capital Men's Cross Country had a strong showing at the Cougar Invitational hosted by Columbus State Community College on Saturday. Capital had seven Crusaders finish in the top-10 for the 5,000-meter race. 

Freshman Alexander Hansel finished with the fastest time of the day, averaging a 5:23 mile. Hansel finished the course in 16:43. Following close behind was fellow freshman Zachary Brown. Brown completed the race 13 seconds behind Hansel with an average pace of 5:27 per mile. Junior Jonas Pyle rounded off the top-three with an overall time of 17:04. Freshman Tyler Gunderson and Trenton Thompson had splits that earned them spots in the top-10, along with sophomores Maxwell Zawatsky and Grant Ward

Next up, the Crusaders will participate in the All-Ohio Championships at Cedarville University on Saturday, Sept. 28.
