Capital Men's Cross Country Finishes 10th at Allegheny Classic

MEADVILLE, Penn. - Capital University Men's Cross Country was back in action on Saturday at the Allegheny Classic on Saturday where the team finished 10th out of 11 teams.

Senior Aaron Fox (Commercial Point, Ohio/Teays Valley) was the first Crusader to cross the finish line with a time of 22:09, good for 40th place.

Sophomore Calvin Lortie (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon) finished second out of Capital's six runners in 52nd-place overall with a time of  23:13.

The next three Capital runners, Nathan Hutchins Toledo, Ohio/Maumee), Quinton Napier (Columbus, Ohio/Hamilton Township) and Andrew Rus (Mayfield, Ohio/Mayfield), finished 61st, 66th and 68th, respectively, with times of 24:38, 25:13 and 25:58.

Freshman James Kisner (Milford, Ohio/Amelia) finished 72nd overall and completed the course in 27:19.

Derek Knabe (Cincinnati, Ohio/Oak Hills), who won the Battle of Columbus on Sept. 1, did not race today.

The team will be back in action at the Columbus State Cougar Classic next week on Saturday, Sept. 23.
