Crusaders Place Tenth at OAC Championship

GATES MILLS, Ohio – The Capital University men's cross country team placed 10th overall at the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship, hosted by John Carroll University.

Sophomore Andrew Stroh (Hilliard, Ohio) served as the first Crusaders harrier to cross the finish line behind a time 28:46.25. Stroh's time was good for 40th overall.

Freshmen Derek Knabe (30:25.29) and Kaleb Perez (30:32.46) finished within a small pack of runners, coming in 92nd and 96th place, respectively.

Freshmen Aaron Fox (31:36.06) and Bailey McBeth rounded out the Capital scoring with 115th-place and 126th-place finishes.

The University of Mount Union ran away with its third straight OAC Championship with its entire starting five finishing inside the top-10. Alex Wilson of the Purple Raiders won the individual title with a 26:29.60 finish time.
