Green Stays Hot, Capital Falls in First OAC Contest

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OhioGraeme Green continued the strong start to his collegiate career with his third consecutive singles win, though it accounted for the Crusaders' only point in Saturday afternoon's match with John Carroll University. Capital University Men's Tennis fell to 1-4 on the season following an 8-1 defeat to open the conference season.

The defending OAC champion Blue Streaks (3-7, 1-0 OAC) rolled through doubles play with a pair of 8-3 victories in the number one and two lineup spots, and then delivered an 8-0 loss to the Capital threes.

On Saturday, Green defeated David Sinense in the number two spot in the lineup, 6-4, 6-3.

Capital, now 1-4 (0-1 OAC) on the year, will play a nonconference match against Shawnee State University on Wednesday, March, 28 at Wolfe Park (Bexley, Ohio). First service is set for 2 p.m.
