AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Two members of the Capital University men's tennis team have been named to this year's All-OAC teams. The Ohio Athletic Conference announced its postseason awards on Wednesday morning, which included Capital representatives Luke Buchanan and Dale Booher.
Senior Luke Buchanan (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central) ended his career on a high note after being named Second Team All-OAC. He is now a three-time second teamer after having been tabbed with the honor after the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He finished the 2015-16 campaign with an overall 9-13 record as Capital's top-flight option in singles play. He racked up 16 doubles wins and found his niche on the number-three doubles team, where he went 10-2 with teammate and fellow senior Jared Judson.
Junior Dale Booher (Hartville, Ohio) earned his second all-conference award with an honorable mention nod. Booher earned the second-most individual wins (10) this season for Capital playing primarily as its number-two singles player. Booher also earned nine wins in doubles play and competed on the Crusaders' top doubles team for most of the season. Last year, Booher was a second team all-conference selection.
Capital finished the season 11-13 overall and advanced to the OAC Men's Tennis Tournament Semifinals before being eliminated. They earned the fourth seed heading into tournament action.
