Men’s Tennis Sets Tone for Postseason with Win in Finale

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University men's tennis team pulled out a key 8-1 victory over Ohio Northern University on Saturday afternoon, which will set the table for the upcoming OAC Tournament.

Aside from Capital's top doubles team taking in a loss to start the match, the Crusaders rolled through the rest of the day en route to its 10th win of the season. They finish the conference season with a 5-3 record and take the No. 4 seed in the upcoming postseason tournament.

Capital will host the fifth seed University of Mount Union in the first round of the OAC Tournament on Tuesday, May 3 at the CU Tennis Courts.

Seniors Luke Buchanan and Jared Judson improved to 8-3 in doubles play with its shutout win over Daniel Warren and Lance Brown. C.J. Martin and Beau Streety gave Capital a 2-1 lead with their seventh win as a team.

The Crusaders then swept through individual play with wins going to Buchanan, Martin, Streety, Judson, Dale Booher, and Gian Carlo DiMichaelangelo.
