Men’s Tennis Sweeps Through New Concord in 9-0 Rout

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Capital University men's tennis team made quick work of Muskingum University, defeating the Muskies in shutout fashion on Wednesday night. The Crusaders did not surrender a single game in its 9-0 win on the Muskie Courts.

Five of the seven Crusaders that hit the court scored two wins on the day. Gian Carlo DiMichaelangelo earned a win in the top-flight doubles competition while brother Santino DiMichaelangelo took over for doubles, taking victory out of the number-five spot.

All matches were won in a shutout. No Crusaders in either singles or doubles play allowed a single game to be won by the Fightin' Muskies.

Capital is now 6-9 overall and 1-1 in OAC play. Their next contest will be on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. from the CU Tennis Courts.
