Crusaders Roll in Shutout Win Over Mount St. Joseph
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Capital Men's Tennis opened up its fall season with a bang, claiming a 9-0 victory over Mount St. Joseph University at home on Wednesday afternoon. The Crusaders (1-0) delivered The Mount (2-1) its first loss of the season.

Capital's three doubles teams dominated their respective matches, setting the tone of the duration of the match. Luke Buchanan and Dale Booher earned a win as Capital's number-one doubles team while the combinations of Spencer Walter and Jesse Faulkner plus Jared Judson and Gian Carlo DiMichelangelo reeled in the next two team points.

Singles play went just as smoothly for Capital. Buchanan and Booher took wins in the first and second flights, respectively. Kenny Duncan came in and defeated Cooper Wade on court three, 6-1, 6-1. Beau Streety and CJ Martin both shut out their opponents while Faulkner nearly did the same in his match (6-0, 6-2) versus Ian Stutz.

Combined, the Crusaders surrendered just seven total games and two doubles games the entire day.

Capital will host Trine University (Ind.) this Friday, Sept. 19 at the Capital Tennis Courts. First service is set for 3:30 p.m.
