The Capital University men's tennis team opened the Ohio Athletic Conference season Saturday, falling 7-2 at Baldwin Wallace in a league dual match at North Ridge Racquet Club.

The Crusaders (3-5 overall, 0-1 OAC) were downed in all three doubles matches but were victorious in two of the six singles matches.

The Yellow Jackets (12-1, 1-0) didn't drop a set in any of their four singles wins.

Sophomore Jared Judson (Dublin, Ohio) and freshman Beau Streety (Tuscon, Ariz.) posted singles triumphs for Capital. Judson knocked off Letch Radomirov 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-8) at the sixth singles position, while Streety earned his team-leading eighth singles victory of the season, besting Brad Minrovic 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 4 slot.

Sophomore Luke Buchanan (Westerville, Ohio) and freshman Dale Booher (Hartville, Ohio) nearly gave the Crusaders a doubles point, but were narrowly edged 9-8 at the No. 1 spot.

Capital returns to action Wednesday in a non-conference affair at Cedarville. First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m.
