The Capital University men's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip to Puerto Rico Thursday with a 6-3 setback.

The Crusaders (2-3 overall) won one doubles match and two of six singles matches as the Vikings took one doubles contest in a tiebreaker and another singles match in a third-set super-tiebreaker.

Sophomore Luke Buchanan (Westerville, Ohio) and freshman Dale Booher (Hartville, Ohio) downed Lawrence Palmer and Andy Wall of Augustana 8-4 at No. 1 doubles. Sophomores Jared Judson (Dublin, Ohio) and Gian Carlo DiMichelangelo (Westerville, Ohio) nearly had Capital's second doubles point, but were narrowly defeated 9-8 (2) at the third position.

Booher and fellow freshman Beau Streety (Tuscon, Ariz.) claimed the Crusaders' victories in singles, both in three sets. Booher dropped his first set before recovering to knock off Grant Wick 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3. Streety also lost his first set before coming back for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 triumph at the fourth slot over Connor Woolf.

At No. 5, DiMichelangelo had the Vikings' Austin Schoeck on the ropes, claiming the first set before eventually falling in a third-set super-tiebreaker.

Capital returns to play next Friday, March 7, against Earlham (Ind.). Match time at the Dayton Center Courts in Dayton, Ohio, is slated for 5 p.m.
