AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Following another two-goal performance, Capital University Men's Soccer forward Chewy Gordon has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season.

The Crusaders opened OAC play on Saturday against Baldwin Wallace and Gordon quickly opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game to put Capital ahead 1-0. The Westerville, Ohio native then added his second of the match in the 20th minute. Capital went on to beat the Yellow Jackets 5-1.

The game was Gordon's sixth multi-goal game of the season and he has scored at least twice in each game he's scored in. His second goal on Saturday was also his sixth game-winning goal of the year. The Crusaders have seven wins. Gordon has now scored a career-best 14 goals and has a career high 29 points, passing last year's bests of 12 goals and 26 points.

Capital (7-2 overall, 1-0 OAC) heads to Heidelberg University on Wednesday to take on the Student Princes on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 4 p.m. and then will host John Carroll University on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. at Bernlohr Stadium.
