AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference announced on Monday that Capital University Men's Soccer keeper Logan Wiedman has earned the conference's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week award.

Over two games, the senior made 16 saves and allowed only one goal while playing 180:17 between the posts. On Sept. 12 in a 3-0 win at Denison University, Wiedman kept a clean sheet while making nine saves in his second straight shutout. On Sept. 15, Wiedman held Case Western Reserve University goalless for 90 minutes before the Spartans scored in overtime. Still, the Cincinnati native made seven saves.

In four starts this season, Wiedman has allowed only two goals in 349 minutes (0.52 goals against average) while making 22 stops (.917 save percentage). This is the first OAC award of Wiedman's career.

Wiedman and the rest of the Crusaders will travel to the College of Wooster on Wednesday, Sept. 19 looking to get back in the win column. That contest is scheduled for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
