AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Capital University men's lacrosse picked up a weekly conference award. The Ohio Athletic Conference announced that C. J. Hughes was named the Offensive Player of the Week.
C.J. Hughes (Cincinnati, Ohio/Walnut Hills) set a new career-high with six goals in a 21-4 win over Muskingum. Hughes scored five goals and added three assists, in the 18-3 win versus Mount Union. Hughes collected four ground balls in the last two games. In the game versus Mount Union, Hughes took 10 shots and all of them were on goal.
This is Hughes first OAC Offensive Player of the Week honor.
Capital came away with a 6-5 overall record and a 3-2 OAC record. The Crusaders return to OAC play as they host Heidelberg University for Senior Day. Game time is 1 p.m.
