|Title:||Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach|
|Previous College:||Capital '16|
Capital University alumnus Parker McComb ’16 has joined forces with his former coach as an assistant to the men’s and women’s golf teams. He will enter his second season with the Crusaders in 2018-19.
McComb, a Gahanna, Ohio native, came to Capital in 2011 and left as an All-OAC honoree and financial economics graduate.
In his first year as a coach, McComb witnessed three Crusaders earn all-conference nods with two coming on the men’s side (Noah Iovino, Logan Holbrook) and Katie Lease on the women’s side. Both teams finished in the top-5 in their respective conference championships.
Capital Women’s Golf also set a new program high with four Academic All-OAC selections in a single year and eight times post a score that was inside the top-25 in recorded program history (all under 84). The women’s team also set a new single-round low in 2017-18 (339, Yellow Jacket Invitational).
As a freshman and sophomore McComb averaged just over 80 shots per round and made a significant improvement as a senior where he averaged 77.9 shots per round. In that year he topped out with a third-place finish at the OAC Spring Classic, which then funneled into an all-conference performance at the 2015 OAC Championships where he finished fourth overall.
