Holbrook Paces Cap Through Three Rounds of OAC Championship

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – Capital Men's Golf is three-quarters of the way through its stay at the 2018 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship and currently stands in seventh place. Through 54 holes, Logan Holbrook is Capital's low scorer and resides inside the top 10.

Logan Holbrook (Logan, Ohio/Logan) opened on a positive note with a one-under par 72 to leave Friday's action in second place overall. On a busy Saturday with 36 holes of golf on the docket, the junior shot duplicate 78s and currently is in seventh place overall.

Junior Noah Iovino (Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Jerome) resides just outside of the top 15 with a three-round total of 233. He opened the tournament with a two-over par 75, but in his first round on Saturday fell back with an 82. He then battled back with a six-stroke improvement on his second pass through with a 76.

Sophomore Ryan Czerniakowski (Sylvania, Ohio/Sylvania Northview) is currently tied for 24th overall after shooting a three-round total of 237 (77-81-79). Senior Justin Dearth (82-81-80-243) and sophomore Nick Brunsman (85-78-83-246) round out the Capital lineup.

Otterbein University (892) is the tournament team leader and holds a 30-shot lead over Ohio Northern University and John Carroll University, who share second place. Capital (937) is seven shots back of sixth-place Baldwin Wallace University and has a sizable lead over eighth-place Muskingum (965).

The Crusaders will return to River Greens Golf Course on Sunday for the final 18 holes of the 72-hole championship.
