COLUMBUS, Ohio – The first half of the Capital men's golf schedule is set in stone. The Purple and White will kick off the fall season on Sept. 2 and compete in five tournaments through October, including one home invitational.
Four of the five fall tournaments will be held in Ohio, and one of those will be hosted by Capital. The 2017 fall season will begin with a two-day tournament at Zoar Village Golf Course (Dover, Ohio), hosted by The College of Wooster. The Gatorade Intercollegiate Invitational will be held on Sept. 2-3.
Cap will return to the links on short rest two days when they compete in the ODU Kickoff Classic at Jefferson Country Club (Blacklick, Ohio) on Sept. 5.
After an extended break, Baldwin Wallace University will host the OAC Fall Classic as part of the first leg of the OAC regular season championship. The tournament is set for Sept. 17-18 at Pine Hill (Medina, Ohio).
Following an out-of-state adventure to Illinois for the Clarke Fall Classic at Eagle Ridge Resort (Galena, Ill.), Cap will ready for its home invitational. The Capital Fall Classic will take place on Oct. 15-16 at Oakhurst Country Club in Grove City, Ohio.
Capital placed fifth and third, respectively, at last year's OAC fall and spring classics. At the OAC Championship, Cap placed sixth overall.
Cap's spring schedule will be announced later in the year.
