WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Capital University men's golf team wrapped up the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament at the River Greens Golf Course on Sunday. Noah Iovino paced Cap with a round of 76.
Sophomore Noah Iovino (Dublin, Ohio / Dublin Jerome) finished tied for first on Capital's roster for the tournament. Iovino shot rounds of 77, 80 and 76 for a combined total of 233.
Senior Mitchell Cook (Bucyrus, Ohio / Colonel Crawford) posted the low-round score for Capital on day one, with a 74. Cook added a second round of 81 and finished today with a 78. Cook tied teammate Iovino with a tournament total of 233.
Sophomore Logan Holbrook (Logan, Ohio / Logan) tied Iovino on the day with a 76. Holbrook recorded a 79 on day one and an 80 on day two. His three-day total is 235.
Senior Jeff Czerniakowski (Sylvania, Ohio / Sylvania Northview) finished the tournament with a total of 238 strokes. He tallied rounds of 81, 74 and 83.
Freshman Jake Barstow (Logan, Ohio / Logan) tied Czerniakowski with a three-day total of 238. Barstow shot an 84 on day one, followed by the team's second lowest score on day two with a 76 and shot a 78 today.
As a team, Cap shot a combined total of 929. The day one total was 311. Cap saw a one stroke reduction in score on day two with a 310, followed by a two-stroke improvement on day three with a 308.
Otterbein University won the OAC Team Title with a combined score of 883. The University of Mount Union came in second with an 893, followed by John Carroll University with a 901.
Baldwin Wallace University's Scott Schroeder claimed the OAC Individual Crown with a three-day total of 216. Tyler Davis of Ohio Northern University finished two shots off the lead with a 218.
