COLUMBUS, Ohio – Capital University Men's Basketball earned the top spot in the Great Lakes Region in the second set of NCAA Division III Regional Rankings released on Wednesday. The Crusaders were fourth in the region in last week's rankings, the first of three public rankings before the NCAA Tournament field is selected.
Capital is currently 19-4 overall and 14-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Crusaders are the first of four ranked OAC teams in the region. Capital is 4-1 against the other ranked teams in the region this season.
Capital will have the chance to add another regional win tonight, Wednesday, Feb. 13 against Wilmington College. The Quakers are ranked seventh in the region. The game against Wilmington is Capital's second-to-last regular season game. The Crusaders will conclude the regular season on Saturday, Feb. 16 at the University of Mount Union, the sixth-ranked team in the region.
