Ten Crusaders Earn Spots on Academic All-OAC List

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – On Thursday, March 1, 2018 the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced its academic all-conference honors for the winter sports season. Eleven Capital University student-athletes earned the title of Academic All-OAC between its men's and women's basketball teams.

Capital placed six members of its women's basketball program on the elite list, while four members of the Crusaders men's basketball team earned a spot. This year, five Crusaders earned the first academic all-conference honor of their respective careers, and five are returning members to the list.

The award winners must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.50.

The OAC recognized a total of 127 student-athletes who achieved Academic All-OAC during the winter season.
