Minch’s Explosive Play Earns Him OAC Player of the Week Honor

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Men's Basketball's Mark Minch was unstoppable last week, scoring 30+ points in back-to-back games. Monday, the Ohio Athletic Conference selected Minch as its Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

The senior guard's week began with an offensive explosion against Wilmington. In the 81-71 victory, Minch put up 32 points and seven rebounds. He also added four assists and a steal. The Cincinnati, Ohio native went 11-for-16 (.687) from the field and a near-perfect 9-for-10 (.900) from the charity stripe.

On Saturday, Minch posted a career day with career highs in steals (6) and points (38). He made 14-of-22 (.636), 50 percent (3-of-6) from beyond the arc, and all seven of his free throw attempts.

The Crusaders are currently 10-9 overall with a 6-6 conference record before they return to the hardwood at Marietta College on Feb. 3.
