COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Saturday, April 28, Capital University Football will be hosting its annual Purple/White Spring Showcase at Purmort Field at Bernlohr Stadium. The Crusaders invite students, faculty, staff, media, and fans to join them as they put on an exhibition of the team as it prepares for its international spring trip to Canada and lead into the offseason.

The Crusaders will break up into two teams, Purple and White, for a traditional 11-on-11, offensive versus defense scrimmage as part of its spring game rundown. The teams will then break down and do a 7-on-7 exhibition of its skill position players and will conclude with a special teams competition. All three contests will be scored in with a unique system produced by the coaching staff to determine a winner.

Game time for the spring showcase is set for 10 a.m. at Bernlohr Stadium. Capital is offering free admission to all attendees. The Capital Center and gates will open at 9 a.m.

The Crusaders will use the Spring Showcase to further prepare it for the team's international trip to Hamilton, Ontario to play a Toronto-based CanAm football team in its annual spring contest. The Crusaders will play the Hamilton CanAm prep squad on May 5, 2018.

If you would like to help Capital Football #CrossTheBorder,  the Crusaders welcome you to take part in its Football Golf Outing on April 28th at Oakhurst Country Club or support the team by sponsoring a hole, player or joining them for the post-round dinner.
