AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – On the afternoon of Sept. 18, 2017, the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) announced that Capital University's Thomas Wibbeler is its week three Offensive Player of the Week.

The announcement comes on the heels of Capital's 39-28 victory at home over Muskingum University on Saturday, Sept. 16.

Wibbeler, a junior from Zanesville, Ohio, completed 19-of-34 pass attempts for 317 yards and four touchdowns. He did not turn over the ball in that game, hit four different receivers for scores and completed passes to seven different receivers over the course of the win. Six of his 19 completions went for 20 or more yards, and two went for more than 40 yards.

Wibbeler is now 40-for-76 (.526) with 578 yards and seven touchdown passes to three interceptions on the season. This is his first OAC Player of the Week award of his career.
